Description
Chihiro Pierce, an award-winning watercolor artist, was born and raised in Kobe, Japan. She discovered her love for painting at a young age and went on to hone her skills at Musashino Art University, where she specialized in oil painting. After starting her career as a professional perspective creator at an architectural company, she was captivated by the beauty of English roses and found her passion in watercolor painting, which best captured the delicate transparency of their petals. With over 25 years of experience, Chihiro's works have been juried into numerous national and international exhibitions, including the National Watercolor Society and Fabriano in Acquarello in Italy. Her still life artworks were on the cover and were featured in "Pratique des Arts" of France and were finalists in "International Artist Magazine," receiving high acclaim.
Chihiro's artwork covers a wide range of subjects, including florals, still life, wildlife, landscapes, and cityscapes. As a Brand Ambassador for Daniel Smith, she shared her expertise by teaching watercolor workshops in Seattle. Personal fulfillment is an essential part of her art, and she aims to bring comfort and peace to viewers worldwide through her paintings. Residing in Juneau, Alaska, she finds inspiration in the enchanting beauty of the region's rainforests and mountains, which she captures in her art.
