Calling Alaskan-based Artists!

We are now accepting applications for 2023 First Friday featured artists at Kindred Post through December 20! We love hosting artists who want to share their craft and connect with their community. We welcome artists of all kinds, in any medium, and at all experience levels.

This past year we have hosted an introduction to alcohol inks, a polaroid photo booth with hand-crocheted backgrounds, a wheel-throwing demo, linocut print-making, and more!

We are especially excited by opportunities that allow the community to interact with you and/or your work - anything that invites our neighbors to participate / make / take / play together, etc. To honor the additional labor and imagination involved in such projects, we offer small stipends ($75 check OR a $100 gift certificate) to support this work.

Artists interested in having a pop-up shop at Kindred Post are encouraged to apply for First Friday, but are ineligible for the stipend unless there is an added interactive element to the event.
